Rabbits are good to have as pets.  They are very sociable creatures and don’t require much care.  Although like most pets, they pose a great responsibility to the owner, having them can be rewarding.  They are very nice to cuddle and play with so they make very nice pets especially for children.  There are many things to look into before taking your rabbit home.

Like any other pet at home, rabbits need things to survive and become wonderful pets for you and for children. Giving them a clean, beautiful and spacious house is vital to their survival. Make sure to provide them a great hutch they need.

The first is where to house your rabbit.  The place should be spacious that it can accommodate even a large hutch.  You can’t buy only a single rabbit because it might not survive if it’s alone.  Always buy them in pairs.  They are very sociable animals and they need a large area to play and run around.  Choose a hutch which is multi level.  It has many compartments providing different areas for eating, playing and sleeping.  You will need different sleeping areas for each rabbit to give them space, they will fight if it is too crowded. 

Their bedding should be comfortable and lined with straw.  It should be comfortable and give them the necessary rest they need.  Rabbits love to chew so give them toys that they can chew on.  Put a lot of straw or hay in the hutch.  There are hutches that have storage facilities where you can keep extra food, medication and toys. 

The hutch should be situated in a place where it is safe and free from predators.  As it is necessary to keep away animals, it is also important that the rabbits are kept inside the hutch.  If the weather is good it is best to keep the hutch outside but you have to bring it indoors when it becomes cold so the rabbits can be kept warm.  You can buy an insulator to use during winter.

Some rabbit hutch have rabbit run where the rabbits can play and romp.  Letting them run around will keep the healthy.  Rabbits tend to get sick easily when they are fat.  The health and welfare of the rabbits are essential so choose the right rabbit hutch for your pet rabbits.
